- An Investor Education and Awareness Initiative by HDFC Mutual Fund
HDFC Asset Management Company Limited (“HDFC AMC”) is acting as the investment manager for HDFC Mutual Fund.
The ‘HDFC MF Planet Aspirations Quiz’ (“Quiz”), is an investor education and awareness initiative of HDFC Mutual Fund. The Quiz will be held as a contest conducted digitally for kids across India for specified age/grade and will be held in multiple rounds. The theme and focus of the Quiz will be finance, banking, investments and mutual funds.
Kindly note that this is not to be considered as an investment advice or solicitation or offer to sell or buy units of the schemes of HDFC Mutual Fund. To participate in this Quiz contest, the contestants are not required to be an investor or to make any investment in the schemes of HDFC Mutual Fund. The sole objective of the contest is to raise awareness of finance, money and investments in kids, with the aim of their financial wellbeing later in life.
This Contest will be governed by these standard terms and conditions. Each participating contestant/their guardian agrees that he/she has read and understood these terms and by their participation in the contest, each participant/their guardian agrees to be bound by the terms. Mere participation should not be perceived as any commitment on the part of HDFC AMC/HDFC Mutual Fund to select any particular contestant as the winner. Nothing herein amounts to a commitment by HDFC AMC to conduct further, similar or other contests in future. HDFC AMC has appointed ‘OSAT Knowledge Pvt. Ltd.’ for conducting the Quiz, and it will be hosted by Mr. Giri Balasubramaniam (PickBrain) and Ms. Rashmi Furtado.
The Participants shall be required to provide basic personal information about them including but not limited to Participant’s name, school, grade, city, location pin, mobile number and email address of self/guardian. This information will be used for the contest related communication from HDFC AMC and OSAT Knowledge. HDFC AMC/OSAT Knowledge will notify the winners of different rounds on email and/or mobile.
Eligibility & Registration:
1. The Quiz contest is open to all Indian resident students of grade 5, 6, 7, 8 as of the starting date for registration. Eligibility requirements include a valid school ID Proof, contact mobile number and an active e-mail id. Mobile number or e-mail of either parent can be used by the contestant.
2. Participation in this Contest is purely voluntary. There is no entry fee for the Contest.
3. Employees, distributors and promoters (including their immediate family members) of HDFC AMC and others associated with the Quiz contest in any manner, are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
4. Only one valid registration will be accepted per student/contestant.
5. Registrations will open from November 14, 2024 and remain open till December 31, 2024. Any registration received after December 31, 2024 will not be considered. Quiz rounds will be conducted in the month of January and February 2025.
Contest Rules:
The Quiz is based on the subjects of finance, banking, investments, and mutual funds and the questions will be framed accordingly.
Round 1 (Online Prelim): All contestants are required to register online and also appear for Round 1 digitally online from any place/location in India. Contestants are required to participate using their own digital devices.
Round 2 (Quarter Final Digital): Up to 2425 contestants will be short-listed from Round 1 and will be eligible to appear for Round 2 digitally in a proctored environment, only from any branch office of HDFC AMC that may be located nearby/convenient to the contestants.
Round 3 (Semi-Final Digital): Up to 64 contestants will be short-listed from Round-2 and will be selected to appear for Round 3 digitally in a proctored environment, only from any branch office of HDFC AMC that may be located nearby/convenient to the contestants. Round 3 will be conducted in groups of 8 contestants & there will be total 8 groups each comprising of 8 contestants in the semi-final.
Round 4 (National Finale Digital): Winners of each team from Round 3, total 8 finalists will be selected to appear for Round 4 digitally in a proctored environment, only from any branch office of HDFC AMC that may be located nearby/convenient to the contestants.
Scoring & Selection – In case there is a tie in the score between contestants, time taken to answer will be considered to decide the result. HDFC AMC retains the sole and absolute authority and discretion for selection of the successful and winning contestants; and its decisions shall be final and binding on all contestants; and no correspondence will be entertained by HDFC AMC with regard to the contest.
Results, Recognition & Prizes:
1. Winner will be decided and declared by HDFC AMC & the Prize/Recognition/Certificate to be given will be decided by HDFC AMC at its sole and absolute discretion.
2. Recognition/certificate will be given to the winners of Round 2, Round 3 and Round 4.
3. The Quiz contest and its results along with related photos and videos of the contestants will be posted on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter and any such social media channels and websites of HDFC AMC/HDFC Mutual Fund as well as OSAT Knowledge.
General Terms and Conditions:
As this is an Investor Education and Awareness Initiative, communication related with Mutual Funds and the benefits, features, etc. will also be communicated by email.
HDFC AMC will not be responsible and liable for acceptability, suitability, delivery, service, defects, deficiency, performance or quality of the services /products/prize provided under the Contest. HDFC AMC will also not be responsible for the device compatibility, internet connection or any other compatibility related issues.
HDFC AMC shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever for any claims, losses, damage, costs or expenses in connection with or arising from this Contest.
By entering the Contest, participants and their guardians hereby agree to indemnify HDFC AMC/HDFC Mutual Fund and any of their affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agencies from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any liability, claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest.
HDFC Mutual Fund reserves the right to withdraw the Contest and/or change, amend, extend, and/or alter any of the terms & conditions of this Contest, without providing any reason and at any time, without any prior notice.
Disputes, if any, will be subject to Indian laws and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, India only.
